The 40th anniversary of the Montgomery County Commission for Women’s Legislative Briefing, “Women’s Voices and Votes Count,” will be held at The Universities at Shady Grove, 9630 Gudelsky Drive in Rockville. Designed to inform residents of legislative proposals before local, state and national legislative bodies that address issues of specific concern to women. General registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. Journalist Barbara Harrison will be the keynote speaker. Special seminars will be offered for students in grades 6-12 through the Emerging Leaders track.
