Sandy Spring Museum, 17901 Bentley Road, will host History Happy Hour, “Deep South Dispatch, John Herbers and Civil Rights Journalism,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Herbers’ memoir chronicles events of America’s racial upheaval from Ku Klux Klan cross-burning rallies to marches and riots, as well as travels and interviews with Martin Luther King Jr. Anne Farris Rosen, Herbers’ daughter and co-author, will tell the story of her father’s dedication to bring racial difficulties to light.
