United Methodist Men (UMM) of Oakdale Church will hold a “Donuts at a Distance” fundraiser 9-11 a.m. in the Georgia Avenue parking lot of the church to benefit the Andrew Gallup Special Needs Trust. Event will be the fifth fundraiser since Andrew was struck by a car and suffered Traumatic Brain Injury in 2015. Oakdale’s UMM have raised funds to provide a generator, physical education equipment, a stander/walker, therapy treatments beyond insurance, additional nursing care, additional medical devices and an overhead lift. Instead of the country-style breakfast held prior to the pandemic, doughnuts will be handed out at a distance. United Methodist Men will also honor women on the day before Valentine’s Day with flowers as they make donations. A “care-a-van” to visit women who are confined at home will be held.
