In celebration of African American History Month, the George and Georgianna Campbell Sandy Spring Slave Museum and African Art Gallery will present “Equality and Justice for All: Civil Rights Movement to Black Lives Matter — Bridging the Gap,” 2-4 p.m. Local members, a father and son team of the National Black Police Association Inc., will lead a discussion on basic protocol for bridging the gap, real and perceived, between communities of color and law enforcement. Questions and answers to follow. Tickets may be purchased online at www.sandyspringmuseum.org or at the door. Cost is $12 for adults, $7 for children under 12 years of age. Sandy Spring Slave Museum is located at 18524 Brooke Road. Museum follows Montgomery County Public Schools for weather-related closing. In the event of a weather closing, the museum event will be rescheduled.
