Sandy Spring Museum, 17901 Bentley Road, will host a History Happy Hour, “Frederick Douglass in Washington, D.C.,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Hear the story of Douglass’ professional and personal life from his involvement in politics and newspaper media to his then-controversial marriage to a white woman, as told by author, historian and Sherwood High School graduate John Muller.
