Sandy Spring Museum, 17901 Bentley Road, will present a History Happy Hour, “Hamilton: A Remix of History and Show Biz,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Historian Richard J. Bell will examine “Hamilton: An American Musical” to reveal what it tells us about the marriage of history and show business and what the show gets right – and wrong – about Alexander Hamilton and the American Revolution. Will include a performance by Jade Jones, singing two songs from the musical. Bell is a professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, who researches and writes about the history and culture of the U.S. between 1750 and 1877. Advanced ticket sales end at 5 p.m. Jan. 18. Cost is $20 at the door. For registration or information, go to www.sandyspringmuseum.org.
