In celebration of African American History Month, the George and Georgianna Campbell Sandy Spring Slave Museum and African Art Gallery will present “The History of Jazz I: African American Jazz Band,” featuring Karlton Jackson and Emphasis, 2-4 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Gift cards will be collected to help a family affected by a recent fire in Olney. Contact [email protected].

Tickets may be purchased online at www.sandyspringmuseum.org or at the door. Cost is $12 for adults, $7 for children under 12 years of age. Tickets may also be purchased 2-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Sandy Spring Slave Museum, 18524 Brooke Road, Sandy Spring. Museum follows Montgomery County Public Schools for weather-related closing.
