Hero Dogs Volunteer Training will feature “Introduction to Hero Dogs” from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Learn about the mission of raising, training and placing service dogs for veterans and first responders, get an overview of the program and volunteer positions, see a dog demo and tour the facilities. Puppy Program Orientation will be held 3-5 p.m. for those interested in volunteer puppy raising or sitting. Located near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Damascus Road; location does not show up on GPS, so instructions and map will be provided the Friday before the event.
