Tikvat Israel Congregation, 2200 Baltimore Road, Rockville, will show the contemporary Israeli film “Shelter” at 7:45 p.m. Political thriller is about a female Mossad agent who is called back from sick leave and assigned to a “babysitting” job of an unknown government asset. Under a new identity, she heads to Germany to protect a Lebanese informant. Second film in the series, “Redemption,” will be shown on Jan. 26. Admission is $12 for one film ($20 for both) for synagogue members and $15 per show for non-members. Students with ID are $5. Advance tickets may be purchased at www.tikvatisrael.org/israelpresents2019. Films will be followed by a dessert reception and conversation moderated by Lisa LeBourgeois, cultural affairs officer with the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
