Heralds of Hope Theater, a local nonprofit theater company known for its historical plays about African American history, will present an original drama, “The Meeting: Faces of Racism,” that depicts the spirits of Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth dealing with the faces of racism in a 21st-century university setting, at 1:30 p.m. at Montgomery Country Club, 20908 Golf View Drive, Laytonsville. A lunch buffet also will be served. The quasi-historical drama, laced with humor, uncovers the deep-seeded impact of classism, whiteness, white supremacy on individuals and institutions. Tickets are limited and patrons are encouraged to purchase them in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3909453. No tickets will be available at the door.
