Olney Lions Silent Auction will open on June 7 and continue to Sept. 2. Club has gathered 193 auction items with a combined face value of more than $38,000, with more to come. Items include travel adventures, golf outings and lessons, theater tickets, restaurant gift certificates and home improvement. All proceeds will go to charities, most of which are local, including Olney Help, Olney Boys and Girls Clubs, vision services for local residents in need, school supplies and scholarships for local students, diabetes education, home improvement projects, Toys for Kids, NIH children’s ward, Montgomery County offices of Child Welfare and Emergency Services, Greater Olney Housing Opportunity Commission and first responders.
