Tikvat Israel Congregation, 2200 Baltimore Road, Rockville, will present an evening of Israeli cinema. “The Women’s Balcony” (2016), about a charismatic rabbi who enters the lives of some women in Jerusalem who attempt to unite their neighborhood and preserve their traditions, will be shown at 7:45 p.m. A second film, “Harmonia,” (2016) will be shown on Jan. 27. Refreshments and discussion led by Lisa LeBourgeois of the Israeli Embassy will follow each film. Cost is $12 per person for Tikvat Israel members, $15 for non-members, $5 for students with a valid student ID. Cost for both movies is $20 per person for members, $26 for non-members.
