Guided hike of the Underground Railroad Experience will begin at 10 a.m. Volunteers will lead hike (approximately two hours) along the 2-mile trail from Woodlawn Manor Park to the historic Sandy Spring, and back. Hikers will learn about techniques “freedom seekers” used to elude trackers, find food and navigate their way north to freedom. Admission charged. Register at ActiveMontgomery.org or Woodlawn Visitor Center, 16501 Norwood Road, Sandy Spring. Free self-guided tours from dawn to dusk.
