Sandy Spring Museum, 17901 Bentley Road, will host a free opening reception 1-3 p.m. for “Uprooted: The Art of Refugees,” an exhibit of art made by six people who came to the D.C. area as refugees. Meet the artists and learn about their stories of hardship and triumph as they fled from countries including Iraq, Ethiopia and Somalia. Enjoy refreshments and a fashion show.
