Montgomery Planning will launch its free Winter Speaker Series with “Recent General Plan Updates in the Washington, D.C., Region” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Planning Department, 8787 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring. Planning officials from Washington, D.C., Loudoun County, Va., and Howard County will discuss lessons learned from the updates, including community involvement in creating the new plans. The event is open to the public.
