New Sherwood principal, AD gets to know community –

New Sherwood High School Principal Dr. Eric L. Minus, who began his post on July 1, welcomed families, students and members of the community to a gathering sponsored by the Sherwood High School PTSA and Warrior Club on Aug. 16.

New athletic director Jason Woodward also welcomed the visitors.

Minus addressed the crowd, estimated at 200 people, saying he intends to work with the community to bring national recognition to Sherwood.

“Excellence is the only option at Sherwood,” he said. “It’s all about achievement, civility, engagement, unity and integrity — those are our pillars of excellence.”

The event also featured an expo of school clubs and organizations, a performance by the poms and cheerleaders, and food vendors.
