It is a rare occasion that a newspaper IS the news of the day

We hope to become your new source of news, information and features about the people and places in the greater Olney area,

Olney Days –

Olney Days drew thousands of visitors the weekend of April 27 and 28, and despite substantial winds on Saturday, Joe’s Ride and the Party in the Park went off as planned.     OBGC’s Flix @ the Fields Family Movie Night, which had been scheduled for Friday evening, was cancelled due to inclement weather. The event will be rescheduled.

The Greater Olney News went to press before the car show and parade on Sunday, but more coverage will appear in an upcoming issue.

The non-profit Olney Civic Fund, established in 2013 to raise awareness of Olney’s charitable, educational, civic and cultural activities and raise funds to support charitable projects and civic events with the help of volunteers and business sponsors, raises money to pay for the annual Olney Days celebration.
