A request for peace

Sandy Spring Friends Meeting organized a vigil on Dec. 23 at Route 108 and Georgia Avenue in the heart of Olney, carrying signs that read, “Gaza Ceasefire Now!”

Ann Worley, clerk of the Meeting’s Peace Committee, led the event. A half-dozen people took part. Worley said many drivers honked their car horns and some waved.
