An estimated 3,000 visitors attended the 42 nd Olney Community Day and Taste of
Olney sponsored by the Olney Chamber of Commerce on March 24.
Despite moving the event from a weekday evening to a Sunday afternoon – Palm
Sunday, no less – during spring break, several exhibitors said the crowd was consistent
throughout the event, said Terri Hogan, executive director of the chamber.
With the higher-than-expected crowd and over 100 exhibitors, Hogan said chamber
organizers “consider this to be another successful event.”
She added, “We would definitely consider holding this event on a Sunday again, as
long as it didn't interfere with spring break.”
The Olney Chamber of Commerce is already planning National Night Out, set for
Aug. 6.
